Jonah's Carnival Party

I helped my mom and sister co-host a carnival party for our dear nephew Jonah (my brother's baby)! Since they are the only one that lives out of town and all the guest are here, my mom wanted to throw Jonah his FIRST birthday party!

We stuck with the color theme from his invites (see below). Red and blue being the main color with hints of yellow

Luckily, this party was after 4th of July. These red, white and blue circus cookies were only sold for a limited time for 4th of July! Perfect for the carnival colors!

These were favors for the guests, there was peanuts inside 

 

since in my family, some of us have peanut allergies so the other half of favors were caramel apples. It was our first attempt to make them!  

Bobo the clown...aka my brother...YES...my brother, Jonah's daddy...hehe! 

since he has no clown skills, we just had him pass out the goody bags to the kids 

Popcorn Machine! 

Last minute cake! My sister bought the train set from Toys R Us and I had my cousin Krystle make the pennant banner.

We had some activities and games for the kids

My dad painted this Gypsy cut out. It was hilarious when the boys took pictures! :)

Dora's Backpack & Diego's Resue Pack Inspired

My niece and nephew were having Dora & Diego themed party. Since I can't make the actual characters themselves, I thought I'd try Dora's backpack and Diego's rescue pack.

The pops were delivered to SoCal by my Aunt and I'm so glad they arrived in one piece!

Since I wasn't able to attend the party, this was my gift to them :)
